Scyther is a thrash metal quintet from Venice is born in 2013 with the intention of playing the classic heavy metal straight from the 80’s!
During the following years the band changed many members and with them the style of the music mixing the old school thrash metal with the modern thrash, groove and heavy metal.
In 2017 with Michele Camerotto entering the band as lead guitar the band reach his definitive formation.
In 2018 the band enters the studio to record their first EP and in September, in collaboration with “Heart of Steel Records”, they publish the EP titled “Blinded” which include all the songs composed since the beginning.
In fact Blinded is a pure and wild collection of 80’s style heavy metal songs inspired by all the gods of this genre like Metallica, Anthrax, Slayer, Black Sabbath etc.
During 2019 the band announces the “Blinded Tour” with many gigs playing mainly in the north-east side of Italy occasionally opening for important bands like Necrodeath. In June the quintet announces his first European Tour in collaboration with Rock Tour Agency touching Croatia, Serbia and Romania.
In summer 2019 the band starts to work on the new album.
In December 2019 the band enters the studio again at The Groove Factory (UD) recording the first full lenght that will be published soon in 2020!
